Weather Delay Alert for Trash and Recycling Pick-Up

GEORGIA

Atlanta Fairburn / Atlanta Stockbridge

Update as of noon on Thursday, January 18th.

Due to inclement weather we have suspended commercial and residential routes for Thursday, January 18th. If weather permits, we will start early tomorrow to catch up service that has been missed the last two days. Our goal is to be caught up by the end of business on Saturday.

Atlanta West

Update as of noon on Thursday, January 18th.

Pick-Up service is running on a limited schedule for Thursday, January 18th. Please note that we will only service roads clear of ice and snow.

Residential, Commercial, and Roll Off services will run through Saturday and are expected to get caught up by the end o the week.

MARYLAND

Harford

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

For Friday, January 19th we will be working on normal operations.

Please note that we will be working on Saturday to service all suspended Harford and Cecil County Wednesday service.




NORTH CAROLINA

Alamance

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather, we will be starting on a delayed start for Friday, January 19th.

Due to the recent winter storm we are two days behind our normal schedule so we are having to cancel residential subscriptions for the rest of the week.

We will pick up any extra waste at your next service time, as long as it is properly bagged.

Commercial and Industrial customers will be caught up by the end of the day Saturday if they can be accessed safely. Municipal customers will be caught up by Saturday.

We apologize for the inconvenience at this time.



Columbus

Update as of noon on Thursday, January 18th.

Due to inclement weather, Polk and Rutherford County Wednesdays residential customers unfortunately will not be serviced until their next scheduled pick up day.

All extra excess household trash that is placed next to your cart will be picked up.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience. Please be patient as we safely navigate through hazardous conditions. Keep in mind that some neighborhoods, cul-de-sacs, parking lots or shopping centers may be too dangerous for us to service. Therefore, your next scheduled pick up will be on your normal pickup day and all extra trash accumulated will be picked up.



Durham

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather, we will be starting on a delayed start for Friday, January 19th. Both commercial and industrial customers will be caught up by the end of day Saturday if they can be access safely.

We will begin work on Wednesday residential subscription customers. At this time though we will have to cancel service for Thursday subscription customers and reservice them next week.

Any extra trash will be picked up at that time. Friday services will be collected on Saturday.



Elizabeth City

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather some services will be running on a delayed schedule for Friday, January 19th.

Roll-Off services are currently on schedule, however both residential and front-end services will be working on Thursday routes today and hope to transition to Friday pick-up by the end of the day.

We will work extended hrs. to try to catch up all work by the end of business Saturday.

We apologize for this inconvenience but the safety of our drivers and our communities is our #1 priority.



Fayetteville

Update as of 11:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Including customers in Bladen, Cumberland, Duplin, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Moore, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson and Scotland Counties:

Due to the recent inclement weather, residential services in the following Towns are currently running on a delay for Friday, January 19th: Benson, Broadway, Elizabethtown, Faison, Newton Grove, Roseboro, Salemburg, Sanford, Siler City, Spring Lake, Southern Pines and Turkey.

We are working to get services caught up by the end of the day on Saturday January 20th. Please leave your containers out so that can service them.

We have canceled Thursday and Friday residential services for subscription customers located outside of town limits.

If you have additional waste next week please place the material beside your container and we will collect it on your next scheduled pickup day

Commercial and Industrial Customers – We began operating on Thursday January 18th. We will run on a delayed schedule through Saturday, January 20th in order to get caught up. In the event your container is not serviced by Saturday please contact our office early next week and we will schedule you for a pickup.



Greensboro

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather, we will be starting on a delayed start for Friday, January 19th.

Both commercial and industrial customers will be caught up by the end of day Saturday if they can be access safely.

Oak City residential services will be serviced on Friday and Saturday.

Due to the nature of this storm, at this time we have decided to cancel Guilford subscription residential services for Thursday and Friday. We will reservice you at your next scheduled pickup time. At that time extra waste will be accepted, as long as it's properly bagged.

We will be prepared to collect any extra waste at this time.

Newport (Carteret County, Craven County, Pamlico County, and Onslow County)

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to the inclement weather, we will be running on a delayed start time for Friday, January 19th.

We will be running 1-day late because of the weather and servicing Thursday customers on Friday.

We will be working until Saturday to catch up all routes.

New Bern

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to the inclement weather, we will be running on a delayed start time for Friday, January 19th.

We will be running 1-day late because of the weather and servicing Thursday customers on Friday.

We will be working until Saturday to catch up all routes.

Raleigh

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather, we will be starting on a delayed start for Friday, January 19th. Both commercial and industrial customers will be caught up by the end of day Saturday if they can be access safely.

Sadly, Wednesday residential subscription customers has been cancelled due this week and will be picked up on their next service day. Any extra trash will be picked up at that time. All other residential subscription trash services will be completed by end of the day on Saturday, as long as conditions permit..

Residential Subscription recycling has also been cancelled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday customers as we work to catch back up however it will resume next week and we will take all extra recycling as long as it appropriately bagged.



Tri-East (Nash, Edgecombe, Pitt, Martin, Bertie, Lenoir, Greene, Wilson, Wayne, Jones, Duplin and Johnston counties)

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.


Due to inclement weather, we will have a delayed start time of 9:00 AM Friday, January 19th, on all product lines.

Service will be one day behind schedule as we expect to begin on Thursday routes today.

We expect to work through Saturday to catch-up all missed pickup.


Satellite branches (Williamston/Greenville/Kinston):

All branches are expected to have normal start times.

Please note that branches are working one day behind and some roads may be too hazardous for them to go down.

We will work through Saturday to complete all routes.



Vance/Granville

Update as of 2:00 pm on Friday, January 19th.

Due to hazardous road conditions all Vance/Granville operations were closed on Wednesday, January 17th and Thursday, January 18th.

Commercial routes are being run on a priority basis, on Friday and Saturday. Wednesday and Thursday Residential subscription routes have been cancelled for this week. We are tentatively planning to provide Friday subscription customers service on Saturday, January 20th.

Municipalities are being serviced on an adjusted schedule and calls have been sent out to all of those customers with your adjusted day of collection.

Please note that if roads remain in hazardous conditions in your area you may not receive service on Friday or Saturday and we will collect additional materials on your normal service day next week.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Greenville/Spartanburg

Update as of 5:00 pm on Wednesday, January 17th.

Due to the inclement weather we experienced Wednesday, January 17th, ALL service routes will be operating one day behind schedule for the remainder of the week through Saturday, with Friday customers being serviced on Saturday. We currently expect a delayed start schedule Thursday morning at this time.

TENNESSEE

Clarksville

Update as of 10:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16th.

Due to the inclement weather, we did not operate Monday, January 15th thru Wednesday, January 17th. We will begin running Thursday, January 18th for Thursday routes.

Friday routes will be picked on Friday. Unfortunately, we will not be able to service Mon-Wed routes until your next scheduled pick up day. Please place any excesshousehold trash next to your cart and it will be picked up. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Please be patient as we safely navigate through hazardous conditions. Keep in mind that some neighborhoods, cul-de-sacs, parking lots or shopping centers may be too dangerous for us to service. Therefore, your next scheduled pick up will be on your normal pickup day and all extra household trash accumulated will be picked up.

Morristown

Update as of 10:00 am on Thursday, January 18th.

As of right now we are operating on a delayed schedule for today, January 18th.

Due to the inclement weather we are opearing on a one day delayed schedule, but will work through Saturday to service all accounts.

Nashville

Update as of 11:00am on Thursday, January 18th.

Commercial and residential routes will resume at noon today, January 18th.

Due to the freezing temperatures, some areas and subdivisions will be difficult to service safely today. To minimize any possible accidents, we will only service roads clear of ice. Remember our trucks don't maneuver well in icy conditions and our number one priority is the safety of our employees and the communities that we serve in.

Please also note that we have been closed for three days and it’s impossible to service all customers, and stay within the Federal Regulations for the Department of Transportation and to continue to stay on schedule for next week.

We will not be able to get to all routes this week, but we will do our best to get to as many customers as possible in a safe and timely manner. We will be running residential routes Thursday through Saturday, for the remainder of the week. In the case that we don't service you by Saturday, please have all of your trash out on your next service day and we will pick up the excess.

VIRGINIA

Chesapeake

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather some services will be running behind schedule on Friday, January 19th.

On Friday we will focus on completing Thursday routes and then transition to Friday routes throughout the day, as we can.

What doesn't get picked up on Friday, will be completed on Saturday.

Wytheville

Update as of 8:00 am on Friday, January 19th.

Due to inclement weather, we are two days behind schedule.

Normal operations will begin on Friday January 19th. Carroll County, VA Wednesday and Thursday customers service has been cancelled and pick-up will happen on their next scheduled service day Blacksburg residential subscription accounts normally serviced on Wednesday will be serviced on Saturday.
