Waste Industries owns and manages Construction and Demolition (C&D) Processing and Recovery facilities throughout the eastern United States. These landfills allow for the dumping of construction, renovation and demolition materials for recovery/recycling.
The facilities are designed to facilitate in the reduction of waste and to also support the generator or contractor who requires the waste to be processed in the compliance with the LEED Program.
The LEED Program is designed to facilitate the reduction of waste and toxins generated from the use of ongoing consumable products that are hauled to and disposed of in landfills. To qualify for the LEED certification, the hauler’s mixed C&D load is off-loaded and sorted by waste type at a processing and recovery facility, where each waste stream is measured, for the hauler to receive validation ticket of all recyclable material sorted from load.
